On April 19, the delegation of the St Andrew the First-Called Foundation headed by Vladimir Yakunin – Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the the Istoki Endowment Fund, the Foundation of St. Andrew the First-Called and the Center of National Glory – and Bishop Savva of the Ascension delivered the Holy Light to the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. Thousands of Orthodox Christians brought parts of the Holy Light to their temples that day. During the entire week of Easter, the Holy Light will be distributed around the majority of dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church. This year the “Pray for Peace in Jerusalem” program, within the framework of which the Holy Light is annually brought to Russia, is being carried out with the financial support of the Endowment for St Andrew the First-Called Foundation.
