Serbian volunteers about the Programme “Sanctity of Motherhood”

The projects of the All-Russian Programme “Sanctity of Motherhood” were presented in Novi Sad and Belgrade in the framework of the visit of the delegation of the Foundation of St. Andrew the First-Called and the Centre of National Glory to Serbia.
Meetings at the Russian Centres in Novi Sad and Belgrade were very interesting. The destinies of Serbia and Russia are historically intertwined in a way that many people present there had Russian roots. The presentation about experience on translation and facilitation of family values among the youth which was given by Head of the “Volunteer” project Elena Yevdokimova was received with great interest.

It was easier to understand the presentation not only thanks to video slides and brochures made in Serbian language but also thanks to demonstration material which accompanies the actions brought deliberately for partners in Serbia. Thousands of cards for the action “Don’t’ forget to congratulate your mother!” were not enough as well as ribbons for the action “I am for Life!”.

The experience of the All-Russian volunteer group of the Programme “Sanctity of Motherhood” in the field of implementation of family-oriented volunteer projects was absolutely timely. Representatives of learning institutions, volunteers, community workers, doctors – all of them took part in questionnaires and discussions. They were surprised that the technologies and methods of the volunteer actions are free and available for anybody.
