The offering of the Paschal Flame in Orthodox parishes in Italy has become a beautiful tradition thanks to the joint efforts of the Administration of Italian parishes of the Moscow Patriarchate, the Fund of St. Andrew the First-Called and the Nadezhda Borodina Russian Centre in Merano with the assistance of the Russian Consulate in Milan. On 1 May 2016, a spark of the Paschal Flame from the Church of the Resurrection in Jerusalem was welcomed in Verona, Merano, Venice and Rome.
