Speakers at the 3rd Forum of the "Sanctity of Motherhood" program to discuss coverage of family values in today’s information environment

The 3rd Annual Forum of the all-Russian “Sanctity of Motherhood” program, which will be held in Moscow on November 19-20, will attract over 400 delegates from all regions of Russia. The list of participants includes managers and employees from NGOs, federal and regional governing bodies as well as chief editors in federal and regional mass media, journalists, public officials, heads of journalism departments in Russian universities, demographers, psychologists, sociologists, ministers of the Russian Orthodox Church and other traditional religions in Russia.

The Forum is expected to be attended by the Vice-chairman of the Board of the Endowment for St Andrew the First-Called Foundation Vladimir Yakunin, Vice Speaker of the State Duma, Sergey Zheleznyak, head of the State Duma Committee on Family, Women’s and Children’s Issues, Yelena Mizulina, head of the Federal Communications regulator Roskomnadzor, Alexander Zharov, head of the Federal Communications agency Rospechat, Mikhail Seslavinsky, Russian Children’s Rights Commissioner, Pavel Astakhov, and others.

This year’s Forum will focus on how to promote effective cooperation between governing bodies, members of the public, representatives of religious organizations, and journalists to formulate positive attitudes to multi-child families and promote a positive image of the traditional family in the media.

“We expect concrete results from this forum. We hope that in the concept of a state family policy our efforts will facilitate the definition of separate parts of information policies related to defending family values. Legislation that helps the government begin systematic support for family topics in the information environment are needed,” said Chairperson of the Board of the Endowment for St Andrew the First-Called Foundation of the Board of Trustees of the program “Sanctity of Motherhood” Natalia Yakunina, sharing her expectations about the upcoming Forum.
